Worcestershire sauce; 2 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar; 2 Tbsp. prepared mustard; dash of Tabasco sauce

2 to 3 lb. chicken parts
1/4 c. shortening
1/3 c. thinly sliced onions
1/3 c. chopped green peppers
1 clove garlic, minced
1 (10 1/2 oz.) can tomato soup
2 Tbsp. brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 Tbsp. lemon juice or vinegar

Heat shortening in heavy skillet; add chicken and brown on all sides.

Return chicken to skillet. Spoon sauce over chicken.
