Cut the dough into pieces and shape each piece into a link, then bring the two ends of the link together in the shape of a ribbon, pinching to seal the cookies together.

Dip only one side of each cookie into the bowl with the sugar to coat it.

Bake the cookies for 15 to 20 minutes.
