Simple Chocolate Bread Pudding

   Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

   Slowly bring custard ingredients to a boil while whisking to ensure egg yolks combine smoothly.

   Remove from heat, add bread, mix thoroughly, and set aside to soak while cooling (10 min - longer for bread that is more dense).

   Whip egg whites into meringue, slowly adding sugar and corn starch until stiff peaks form while bread and custard mixture cools and begins to thicken.

   Mix in the meringue after the bread has thoroughly soaked up most of the custard as this will result in more fluffy pudding.

   Place into a baking dish and bake for 30 min at 350 degrees F. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping of choice.
