Simple Cheesecake...with Some Jazz!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Crust:.

In bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs and sugar, then add melted butter to coat.

Press crumbs into spring-form pan to make crust.

Spread a layer of chocolate chips over the crust.

Filling:.

In mixing bowl, cream the cream cheese.

Add eggs, one at a time, and mix until combined with the cream cheese (you should stop the mixer and scrape the bowl down during this process-making sure it's all incorporated really well).

Add sugar and vanilla, and mix well on a lower speed.

Add in fruit preserves or sauce and mix.

Add cheesecake mixture to the crust and put in the oven.

Bake 35-40 minutes.

When you take it out of the oven, put another layer of chocolate chips on top.

The heat will melt them, and then spread the chocolate over top of cake.

Cool to room temp, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate

Add fresh fruit on top when ready to serve!
