In a large bowl combine 3 tablespoons of cornstarch, water, and crushed garlic.

Add meat and stir to coat.

Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium high heat.

When hot, add half of the meat.

The cornstarch will make it stick together so dont crowd your pan.

Cook about 3 minutes on each side, or until it reaches desired done-ness.

Remove cooked meat to a plate.

Repeat with remaining meat, adding an additional tablespoon of butter and vegetable oil into the pan if needed.

When all meat is cooked remove it from the skillet and set aside.

Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in skillet and add broccoli, juice from half of a lemon, and salt and pepper.

Cook about 5-7 minutes stirring frequently.

Broccoli will turn a darker green and be slightly tender when you poke it with a fork.

While the broccoli is cooking, combine the sauce ingredients in a small bowl.

After broccoli has cooked for 5-7 minutes add cooked beef into the skillet and lower heat to medium low.

Add sauce, stir, cover the pan and cook for 3-5 minutes until heated through and sauce has thickened.

Serve immediately over rice.
