1
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
-
2
Brown you ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat.
-
3
Add your salt and pepper once the beef is cooked.
-
4
If using lean ground beef there is no need to drain grease, if using regular it would be a good idea to drain it.
-
5
Now add the ketchup and cook over medium heat for about 5-ish minutes.
-
6
Now add the bisto and the beef stock and cook until it absorbs and thickens.
-
7
Its always best to start with less bisto and add more if desired otherwise itll be a big goopy mess.
-
8
If you dont have leftover mashed potatoes you need to whip those up.
-
9
I used roasted garlic mashed potatoes in mine as I had leftovers.
-
10
Now you are ready to assemble.
-
11
Add a layer of meat on the bottom of the jar.
-
12
Now add a layer of corn to the jar.
-
13
Now add your mashed potato layer.
-
14
Drizzle some melted butter over top.
-
15
Place jars in your preheated 350 degree F oven (I found it helped to place the jars in a cake pan so they were easier to maneuver in and out of the oven and not tip over) and cook for about 20-ish minutes.
-
16
They are done when they go golden brown on the top.
-
17
I made 4 x 250 ml jars plus a casserole dish.
-
18
So just guessing this recipe would make 10 to 12 jars.
-
19
But that is a guesstimate!
