2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. soda
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
2 egg yolks
1 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. milk
2 egg whites

Sift together and set aside the flour, baking powder and soda. Blend together shortening, sugar and 1/2 cup brown sugar.

Add flour mix, egg yolks, vanilla and milk.

Press dough into a greased 15 x 10 x 1-inch pan.

Sprinkle with 1 package chocolate chips.

Beat until stiff 2 egg whites.

Beat in gradually remaining 1 cup brown sugar.
