Ingredients: 1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce; 2 cups chicken broth; 3 cups dry pasta; 1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped; 2 medium carrots, coarsely chopped; 2 celery ribs, coarsely chopped; 1 tablespoon garlic, minced; 2 tablespoons dried Italian seasoning, crushed; 1 teaspoon black pepper; 1 teaspoon garlic salt; 1 teaspoon chili powder; 1 whole bay leaf; 2 tablespoons cooking oil

1 (24 ounce) jar spaghetti sauce
2 cups chicken broth
3 cups dry pasta
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
2 medium carrots, coarsely chopped
2 celery ribs, coarsely chopped
1 tablespoon garlic, minced
2 tablespoons dried Italian seasoning, crushed
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic salt
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 whole bay leaf
2 tablespoons cooking oil

Using a 4 or 6 quart saucepan, saute onions, carrots, garlic, and celery in the cooking oil until slightly tender, about ten minutes, over medium low heat.

Add pasta sauce, broth or stock, dried herbs, chili powder, and bay leaf into pan and stir well.

You could also add a teaspoon of sugar if you like your sauce a little sweeter.

Bring mixture to a light boil.

Add pasta of your choice to saucepan and cover.

Turn heat down to simmer slowly, stirring occasionally making sure to keep pasta moist.

Let simmer 15-20 minutes or until pasta is tender.
