Ingredients: 3 medium sweet potatoes; 1 lb. sausage, crumbled and browned; 1/2 c. orange juice; 1 Tbsp. grated orange rind; 1 egg; 1/2 tsp. salt; 1 cup yellow cornmeal; 1 cup sweet milk; 1 teaspoon soda; 1/4 cup cooking oil; 1 can creamed corn; 1 teaspoon salt

3 medium sweet potatoes
1 lb. sausage, crumbled and browned
1/2 c. orange juice
1 Tbsp. grated orange rind
1 egg
1/2 tsp. salt
1 cup yellow cornmeal
1 cup sweet milk
1 teaspoon soda
1/4 cup cooking oil
1 can creamed corn
1 teaspoon salt

Set aside after mixing by hand. Brown 1 1/2

pound hamburger in skillet along with a large chopped onion, drain salt and pepper to taste.

Grate 1/2-1 pound, cheddar cheese.

Chop 4 or 5 jalapeno peppers (or green chilies). Grease heavy skillet and sprinkle with corn meal and let brown in oven.

Put half of corn mixture, then layer half cheese, meat and onions, pepper, remaining cheese and rest of corn mixture.

Cover bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour.
