Ingredients: 5 strips bacon; 1 large onion, diced; 2 heaping Tbsp. flour; water; 1 large can sauerkraut; 2 Tbsp. sugar; caraway seed; salt and pepper; 1 pkg. bread dumplings; pork roast

Cut bacon strips 1/2-inch wide.

Fry until crisp; then remove bacon to dish.

Fry diced onion in bacon grease.

Put flour in bowl with water and mix well.

Add flour mixture to bacon grease in frying pan and keep adding water until right consistency. Rinse and drain sauerkraut; then add to pan along with sugar, caraway seed, salt and pepper.

Add cooked bacon and mix well. Put dumplings on top and cover and simmer according to package directions.

Cook pork roast as desired.

Serve with dumpling mixture.
