1 pound grnd beef

1/2 c. minced onion
3/4 c. long grain rice
1 1/2 c. water

Combine grnd beef, bread crumbs, lowfat milk and a dash of pepper.

Mix well, shape into 12 meatballs.

Brown in shortening in large skillet, remove meatballs.

In same skillet combine sauerkraut, onion and 1/2 tsp.

Stir in rice and water.

Add in meatballs and tomatoes.

Bring to boiling, reduce heat and simmer covered for 30 min.
