Note: This makes a lot of cookies! It makes somewhere around 5 dozen. I usually freeze the dough that I don't use or halve the recipe.

Cream shortening, sugars, eggs, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Stir dry ingredients into the creamed mixture. Blend well. Add chocolate chips.

Bake at 375u00b0F for 8 minutes. Start the first sheet on the bottom shelf, cook for 4 minutes. Move to the top shelf and add the second sheet. Cook for 4 minutes. Keep it up until all the cookies are baked. Let cookies cool on the sheet for 1-2 minutes, then remove to a cooling rack.

Makes 5 to 6 dozen cookies, so you better be hungry or have at least have some boys around that are hungry.
