Ingredients: 2 cloves garlic; 1 tbsp. oil; 12 oz. jar salsa; 4 oz. chopped green chilies (drained); 2 tbsp. raisins; 1/4 tsp. cinnamon; 1/8 tsp. ground cloves; dash ground cumin; 1/2 lb. sausage; 16 oz. monterey jack cheese; 1/4 c. sliced olives; tortilla chips

Servings: persons

2 cloves garlic
1 tbsp. oil
12 oz. jar salsa
4 oz. chopped green chilies (drained)
2 tbsp. raisins
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
dash ground cumin
1/2 lb. sausage
16 oz. monterey jack cheese
1/4 c. sliced olives
tortilla chips

Cook garlic in oil 1 minute.

Stir in next 6 ingredients. Heat to boiling constantly stirring.

Reduce heat & simmer until thickened about 3 minutes.

Cook & drain sausage, stir in 1 c. salsa mixture.

In ungreased casserole dish layer 1/2 of cheese (sliced 1/4 inches) then sausage mixture.

Top with 1/2 cheese. Bake uncovered at 400 degrees 8-10 minutes.

Heat remaining salsa mixture & pour over cheese.
