Romance Cookies

   In a large bowl, combine butter and sugar until creamy and well mixed.

   Beat in salt and egg yolks.

   Add flour and mix well, kneading with fingers to make a smooth dough.

   Pat dough evenly into the bottom of a greased 12 x 17-inch pan.

   Bake 15 to 20 minutes in a 350u00b0 preheated oven until lightly browned.

   Remove from oven and spread with jam and chocolate bits.
