1 c. wild rice
1/2 c. butter
2 Tbsp. finely chopped onions
3 tsp. salt
1/2 c. sliced, cooked mushrooms
1/2 c. American Blue cheese (about 3 oz.)

1/3 c. butter, melted

Bring water to a boil.

Wash rice several times and add to boiling water.

Cover and simmer for 1 hour without stirring until tender; drain if necessary.
