1 1/2 to 1 3/4 c. milk
1/2 c. butter or oleo
2 (3 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

Peel and quarter potatoes.

Heat water and salt in 4-quart pan on high until boiling.

Add potatoes.

Cover and cook until done. Drain and mash.
