1 large onion, chopped
1 c. dry white wine
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. cider vinegar

1 apple, peeled
salt to taste
Louisiana hot sauce or cayenne pepper to taste

Over medium heat in heavy saucepan, saute onion in bacon drippings until clear.
