Really Rockin' Refrigerator Cookies

   Cream the butter, sugar, and vanilla in a large mixing bowl.

   Add the flour, and mix well.

   Divide the dough into 4 equal parts, and form each portion into a log 1 inch in diameter.

   Roll 2 logs in the red sprinkles and 2 in the green sprinkles, pressing them onto the sides.

   Chill the logs for an hour.

   Preheat the oven to 350F.

   Cut the rolls into 1/2 inch thick slices, and place the slices on ungreased cookie sheets.

   Bake until the cookies are golden, 8 to 10 minutes.

   Cool the cookies on wire racks.

    **You can freeze the logs until it's time to bake and slice them right from the freezer, but add 2 to 3 minutes to the baking time.
