Basically, preheat the oven, and just go ahead and put the stick of butter in the pan and put the pan in the oven. It will melt.

Mix your dry ingredients. Add the eggs and mix those.

Then get that pan with the melted butter. Pour the butter out of the pan and into the bowl with your batter. Mix it all together.

Then add the vanilla (and nuts if you want).

Pour it back into the pan and bake for 20 minutes.

The beauty of this recipe is that you do NOT have to grease the pan, because the melted butter does that for you. Your brownies will absolutely NOT stick.
