In a big bowl combine flour with the rest of sugar and add salt. Make a hole in the centre. Pour in the yeast, oil and milk, and start stirring with a fork. When it starts to form a ball, transfer to a clean surface and knead with your hands for 5 minutes.

Cover with a cloth and leave to rise for 90 minutes.

Preheat oven to 190u00b0C and line a round baking pan with baking paper. Divide the dough into 16 small balls and place them in the pan. Bake for 45 minutes and then leave to cool completely.

Sprinkle with powdered sugar before serving with a selection of favourite jams, curds or chocolate.
