⅓ cup pecans, finely chopped
⅓ cup brown sugar, packed
3 tablespoons soft butter
3 eggs, slightly beaten
½ cup brown sugar, packed
2 tablespoons cornstarch

½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon ginger
¼ teaspoon clove
1 (16 ounce) can pumpkin puree
1 ½ cups 10% cream
additional pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 450F.

Combine the pecans, brown sugr and butter; press into bottom of pie shell.

Bake at 450F for 10 minutes, remove pastry and cool for 5 minutes.

Reduce temperature to 350F

Combine first eight filling ingredients; stir in pumpkin and gradually add cream.

Mix well and pour into pie shell.

If desired, sprinkle additional chopped pecans on top.

Bake at 350F for 45-50 minutes or until a knife inserted near the center comes out clean.

Cool completely and store in refrigerator.
