1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. cloves
1 c. buttermilk
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 tsp. soda

Cream together sugar, shortening and cocoa.

Add eggs and mashed potatoes.

Dissolve soda in small amount of warm water. Add soda and buttermilk.

Stir in flour, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.
