Poor Man'S Hamburger Stew

   Peel and wash potatoes; cut into bite-sized chunks.

   boil in clean water and a little salt until just done.

   As the potatoes are cooking, in another large pot or huge skillet brown ground beef.

   When just brown add diced onion and cook until onion is clear (at this time if health conscience drain fat from mixture). Add beans; stir when beans have heated through and add potato chunks. Stir.

   Now is the time to add whatever spices you desire, my favorites are: garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste and chili powder.

   Simmer for about 20 minutes so the flavors mingle.
