Combine sugar, water and corn syrup in a 3-quart saucepan; cook over low heat, stirring constantly unti sugar dissolves.

Cook over high heat, without stirring until mixture reaches hard ball stage, about 260u00b0.

Place egg whites (at room temperature) in a large mixing bowl; beat until stiff peaks form.

Pour hot sugar mixture in a very thin stream over whites, while beating constantly at high speed of an electric mixer.

Add vanilla and food coloring. Continue beating 3 to 5 minutes or until mixture holds its shape. Quickly drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls onto waxed paper; press a pecan half on top of each.
