First, start preparing filling: *boil potatoes until soft *saute 1/3 of the onion, garlic, and salt and pepper to taste in about 2 tbsp butter

Prepare dough: Combine flour, baking powder, and 1/2 tsp salt.

Make a well in the middle and fill with half of sour cream and eggs.

Combine well and turn out on a floured board.

Knead until smooth.

Combine softened potatoes and sauteed onion mix with the remaining half of the sour cream and cheese.

This should be the consistency of mashed potatoes.

Roll out dough until about 1/4 inch thick.

Using a round cookie cutter or the open end of a large mouth glass, cut circles out of the dough.

Continue until all dough is used.

To put together perogies, place about 1 tbsp of potato mixture in the middle of a dough circle.

Fold dough circle in half into a half circle shape.

Pinch edges together well so that potato mixture will not come out.

Cook perogies: *boil a large pot of water.

Drop perogies into boiling water one at a time.

Boil about 10 minutes.

*melt butter in the bottom of a large frying pan.

Using a slotted spoon, remove perogies from water and sautee in butter for a few minutes on each side or until each side is browned.

*place perogies on a baking sheet in the oven on the lowest heat setting to keep warm.

Cook kielbasa and onion: *slice kielbasa at an angle inton1/2 inch pieces.

*combine onion, 2 tbsp butter, season salt, pepper, and garlic powder.

Sautee for 3-5 minutes *add kielbasa to onion mixture and cook through

Place desired amout of perogies on your plate and top with Kielbasa mixture.
