Perfect Margarita – a delicious recipe with sugar, water, syrup, shot Tequila, lime juice, Marnier. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

To make the simple syrup: Mix sugar and water in a small sauce pan.

Bring to a gentle boil, about 5-10 minutes.

Once the sugar has dissolved in the water, turn off the heat and let the mixture cool.

To prepare citrus: Squeeze the juice from 6 lemons and 6 limes into a container.

Cut up rinds into small chunks (approximately 8 chunks to one lime and 16 chunks to one lemon).

To make one margarita: Put a handful of ice and 3 lemon rind chunks and 3 lime rind chunks into a cocktail shaker or pint glass.

Muddle using a muddler.

Pour in one shot each of simple syrup, Tequila, lemon/lime juice and 1/2 shot Grand Marnier.

Stir well.

Wipe a lemon rind around the rim of a glass and dip it in salt.

Put a handful of ice in the glass and pour in the margarita mixture.
