Ingredients: 1 c. margarine; 1 c. peanut butter; 1 c. sugar; 1 c. brown sugar; 2 eggs; 1 tsp. vanilla; 2 1/2 c. flour; 1 1/2 tsp. soda; 1 tsp. salt; chocolate star candy

Cream the margarine, peanut butter and sugars. Add eggs.

Sift together flour, baking soda and salt.

Mix with creamed mixture. Stir in 1 teaspoon vanilla. Shape into 1-inch balls and place on ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 350u00b0 for 8 minutes. Remove from oven and press 1 chocolate star in the middle of each cookie. Return to oven for 2 minutes or until lightly browned.

Cool 10 minutes and remove from cookie sheets.

Makes 3 to 4 dozen cookies. Recipe can be halved for a smaller batch.
