Peanut Butter Cake

   Cream peanut butter, shortening and vanilla.

   Beat in sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating after each addition.

   Mix flour, baking powder and salt.

   Alternately add dry ingredients and milk, beginning and ending with dry ingredients.

   Bake in 3 greased and floured 9-inch layer cake pans.

   Bake in a preheated 350u00b0 oven for 30 to 35 minutes or until cake shrinks from sides of pans.

   Cool layers on a rack and then frost with Crunchy Topping Frosting. Makes 1 (9-inch) cake.
