Peanut Butter and Jam Sandwich Cookies

   Beat butter, peanut butter and sugars in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy.

   Add egg; mix well.

   Gradually beat in combined flour and baking powder.

   Refrigerate 1 hour.

   Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Roll dough to 1/4-inch thickness on floured surface.

   Cut into 56 cookies, using teddy bear cutter.

   Place, 2 inches apart, on greased baking sheets.

   Bake 10 to 12 min.

   or until lightly browned.

    Cool on baking sheets 1 min.

    Remove to wire racks; cool completely.

    Spread 1/2 tsp.

    jam onto each of 28 cookies; cover with remaining cookies.
