Peanut Brittle(Microwave Candy)

   Combine sugar, corn syrup and water in a 2-quart glass measuring cup.

   Cook, uncovered, 8 minutes at High power in microwave.

   Stir peanuts and butter into mixture. Cook uncovered 17 to 18 minutes at High power or until mixture forms threads when dropped in cold water or measures 300u00b0 on a candy thermometer (oven should not be in operation when candy thermometer is inserted).

   Stir 4 to 5 times during cooking.

   Stir in remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

   Pour mixture onto 2 buttered baking sheets.

   Spread in thin layer with a knife.

   Let stand until hard (about 1/2 hour).

   Break into pieces.
