Melt the butter slowly with garlic in a saucepan.

Meanwhile, mix together the breadcrumbs, cheese and 1 tablesoon of salt and spread in a shallow dish.

Brush the pieces of chicken all over with the melted butter, then press them one by one into the breadcrumb mixture turning to coat both sides.

Press crumble in place using a palette knife.

Arrange the chicken pieces in a shallow baking tin.

Scoop out the garlic with a spoon and trickle the remaining butter evenly all over the chicken surfaces.

Bake uncovered in a preheated oven at 190C, 375F, Gas mark 5 for approximately 35-40 minutes.
