1
Preheat your oven to 180oC/350OF/Gas mark 4 and grease two large tins
2
Melt your butter then beat it together with the sugar until all of it is combined.
3
Add vanilla extract and the egg and beat well, being careful not to over beat the mixture
4
Sieve in the plain flour and the baking powder and fold into the mix.
5
Stir in your chocolate chips until thoroughly combined
6
Put your oreos into a freezer bag or large sandwich bag and, using a rolling pin, bash them up until some of them are crumbs and there are some bigger pieces.
7
Put the oreos into the mixture too
8
With your hands, take out a small amount of mixture and roll it into a ball (use as much mixture as you want, depending on how big you want your cookie to be) then place it on the tray and flatten it down a bit. Continue doing this until all the mixture has been used up.
9
Finally, put the cookies into the oven for 9-12 minutes depending on the heat of the oven. (Maybe check them after 8 minutes) Once they are golden brown only at the edges, take them out and put them on a cooling tray.
10
Enjoy your cookies!
