Ingredients: 1 lb. orange slice candy, cut up; 1 lb. dates; 2 c. pecans; 4 c. plain flour; 1 1/2 c. buttermilk; 2 Tbsp. grated orange peel; 1 c. butter; 2 c. sugar; 4 eggs; 1 tsp. soda; 1 c. coconut

Cream butter and sugar.

Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each egg.

Mix soda and buttermilk.

Add to creamed mixture. Mix oranges, dates, pecans and coconut in large bowl.

Sift flour over this mixture and mix well.

Add to creamed mixture and blend well.

Bake in tube pan (greased and floured) for 2 1/2 hours at 250u00b0.

Keep refrigerated.
