1 cup sugar or 1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
½ teaspoon salt
¾ cup 1% low-fat milk

2 teaspoons orange rind, grated

2 tablespoons orange-flavored liqueur

Grease and flour square cake pan (8x8x2).

Beat all ingredients until smooth, except almonds, 1 tablespoon sugar and the liquer.

Pour into pan.

Sprinkle with almonds.

Bake 40-45 minutes, or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.

Sprinkle with tablespoon sugar.

Poke holes randomly around top of cake and drizzle with liquer.

Cook 10 to 15 minutes.

Remove from pan and cool completly before cutting.
