Oatmeal Drop Cookies

   Pour water over raisins.

   Bring to a boil and then simmer for 3 minutes.

   Drain, reserving liquid.

   Cool.

   Mix shortening, margarine, sugar, vanilla and eggs.

   Blend until well mixed.

   Add raisin liquid.

   Blend.

   Add raisins; stir by hand.

    Mix in flour and soda, then add oats.

    Mix well.

    Drop by teaspoonful on lightly greased cookie sheet.

    Bake in a 350u00b0 oven about 15 minutes or until done.
