Name: Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients: 2 c. soft shortening (use 1/2 margarine); 1 1/2 c. brown sugar; 1 1/3 c. white sugar; 4 eggs; 2 tsp. salt; 2 tsp. vanilla; 3 c. flour; 2 tsp. soda; 4 c. oatmeal; lots of chocolate chips (one 12 oz. pkg.)

Cream 2 minutes the shortening and sugars.

Mix in eggs, salt and vanilla.

Then mix in flour, soda, oatmeal and chocolate chips.

Mix and drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet.

Bake at 375u00b0 for 7 to 8 minutes.

Yields 4 dozen.
