1 ½ cups boiling water
1 cup oatmeal
1 ½ cups butter
1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 ½ cups flour
½ teaspoon cinnamon
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 ½ cups brown sugar
½ cup cream
6 tablespoons butter
1 cup coconut
½ cup chopped pecans
1 teaspoon vanilla

In large bowl, pour water over oatmeal.

Let stand 20 minutes.

In another bowl, mix butter, sugars, eggs, Add flour, cinnamon, salt, soda and vanilla.

Mix well.

Mix and add oatmeal.

Bake in greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan at 325* for 25-30 minutes .

When done, let cool in oven.

Mix all topping ingredients.

Pour over top of cake, let bubble in warm oven.
