Regarding Chef #219653s review all I can say is NO KIDDING Back then she used Butter; then when it was said butter wasnt good for a person she changed it to margarine.

She used to have to moisten the oats first (patting out the excess water) and then add them to the boiled ingredients.

I believe it took about 40 45 minutes to do the recipe back then ( I cant remember for sure) and I cannot ask her as she died in September 1979.
