Whip cream with sugar and vanilla until soft peaks hold shape. Carefully open package of cookies, keeping broken cookies together to reassemble later.

In bottom of a 13 x 9-inch pan, place 10 to 11 whole cookies.

Place a good teaspoon of whipped cream on each cookie.

Gently press another cookie layer on top of cream, just so cream comes to edge of cookie.

Repeat process of layering until stacks are 3 to 4 cookies high (box should have 47 cookies).

On the top cookie, gently spread spoonful of cream out to edges of cookie.

Cover pan with Saran Wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Just before serving, top each with a cherry! (Broken cookies can be reassembled for middle layers.) Serve 1 to 2 per person.
