Mom's BBQ Baked Beans

   Pre-heat oven to 375.

   Cut bacon into 1/2 inch pieces.

   Brown bacon in a non stick skillet over med.

   high heat.

   Chop onion, garlic and green pepper.

   Before bacon is completely browned turn down head to med.

   and add onion and green pepper.

   Saute until they start to soften and add garlic.

   Continue to saute for 45 seconds.

    Stir in brown sugar to absorb some of bacon grease.

    (you my want to drain off some of the bacon grease depending on how fatty your bacon is.)

    Pour in BBQ sauce and let simmer for about 2 min.

    Stir in rinsed beans and transfer to a casserole dish.

    Cover and bake 45-60 minutes.
