Beat egg whites until stiff, adding salt, sugar, vanilla and vinegar gradually while beating. Spread 2 squares of meringue on two 6 x 9-inch pieces of brown paper. Bake at 275u00b0 for 1 hour or longer.

When done, it will lift off paper easily. Bake at lowest level in the oven. Melt chocolate chips in double boiler.

Take off heat and add enough cold water gradually to make chocolate drop off end of spoon. Whip the cream. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla and 1 teaspoon instant coffee.

Spread half of the chocolate mixture on meringue.

Spread a layer of half the cream mixture and sprinkle with 1/2 cup chopped walnuts. Stack second meringue on top and repeat layer. Chill at least 8 hours.
