Preheat oven to 400u00b0F and line muffin tins with papers.

Sift dry ingredients into bowl. (I usually add 1 teaspoon cinnamon or 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg depending on which variety I'm making).

Melt butter and mix with eggs, sour cream, vanilla and any additional ingredients.

Mix wet ingredients with dry. This mix will be quite thick. Divide evenly between 12 muffin cups. Bake about 20 minutes, until golden and tester comes out clean.
