Meatballs – a delicious recipe with onion, tomato soup, water, lemon, sugar, egg. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Servings: persons

1 sliced onion
1 can tomato soup
1/2 c. water
1 lemon, juiced
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg
1 lb. hamburger
1/2 c. bread crumbs
1/3 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
pinch of poultry seasoning

Brown sliced onion.

Mix soup, 1/2 cup water, lemon juice and sugar.

Add to onions, simmer while making meatballs.

Mix egg, hamburger, bread crumbs, 1/3 cup water, salt and poultry seasoning.

Make into small balls.

Add one at a time to sauce. Simmer 1 to 2 hours, stirring gently, occasionally.

Sauce will thicken as it cooks.

I usually prepare three times the recipe. It seems to taste better as it is heated again.
