Meatball Soup – a delicious recipe with ground beef, boiling water, tomato sauce, chili powder, rice, salt. Easy to follow and perfect for any occasion.

Servings: persons

1 lb. ground beef
2 qt. boiling water
2 2/3 c. tomato sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/4 c. raw rice
1/2 tsp. salt
8 beef bouillon cubes
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 egg, beaten
1 c. minced onion
1 Tbsp. oil

Dissolve bouillon in water in 4-quart saucepan.

Add tomato sauce and chili powder.

Simmer over low heat.

Mix meat, rice, salt, pepper and egg lightly, but thoroughly.

Shape into 60 small meatballs, 1 rounded teaspoonful of meat mixture for each ball. Saute onion in oil in frying pan until tender.

Remove.

Add to soup.

Lightly brown meatballs in pan; drain excess fat.

Drop into boiling soup.

Simmer about 30 minutes.
