Servings: persons

1 lb ground beef
1 garlic clove, minced
2 sprigs parsley, chopped
¼ teaspoon marjoram
¼ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon onion salt
1 ½ teaspoons salt
1 dash pepper
1 egg
flour
2 beef bouillon cubes
4 cups water
1 (15 ounce) can tomatoes
1 bay leaf, dried and crumbled
4 tablespoons uncooked rice

Mix first 6 ingredients, 1/2 tsp salt, pepper and 1 egg.

Shape into 32 tiny balls; dredge with flour.

Bring bouillon cubes, water, tomatoes, 1 tsp salt and bay leaf to boil in a dutch oven.

Add meatballs and rice, cover and simmer 45 minutes.

Serve immediately.

*You can also use beef broth instead of the bouillon cubs.
