Rub: Combine brown sugar, chili powder, salt, and pepper and apply as a rub to the ribs before cooking.

Sauce: Mince jalapenos and combine with the remaining ingredients (except ribs, obviously) in a saucepan on medium heat.

Allow sauce to simmer for about 8 minutes so all ingredients are well mixed.

Grill ribs on medium heat, about 2 hours for beef ribs and about 1 hour for pork ribs.

Apply sauce to ribs every 15 minutes.

Serve the rest of the sauce with the ribs!

You can prepare the rub and sauce ahead of time.
