grind the garlic,ginger and green chilli to a coarse paste either in a food processor or a mortar & pestle

heat oil in a saucepan.when hot add the garlic ginger & chili paste

saute for a minute then add the onions.saute until it starts browning a little

add the cumin powder, coriander powder,turmeric powder and salt.add a little water and saute.

now add the tomatoes and fry til tomatoes turn tender

now add the peas and a half cup of water.cover & bring it to a boil

add the paneer cubes add a quarter cup of water more.cook uncovered on medium heat til the paneer gets tender.stir once or twice.

nw add the garam masala.squeeze the lemon slice into the curry.mix simmer for a minute.

garnish with coriander & serve hot with rotis or naan or rice
