Preheat the oven to 350 F.

Prepare your chicken pieces by lightly rubbing each piece with olive oil and then sprinkling each piece with salt and pepper.

Place the chicken legs on a rimmed baking sheet and place the sheet in the oven.

While the chicken is baking, in a small bowl mix together the honey, olive oil, maple syrup, soy sauce, garlic, salt and pepper.

Mix well and set aside.

Turn the legs after about 20 minutes.

When the chicken legs are 2/3 cooked, after about 35 minutes, remove the sheet from the oven and use a pastry brush to generously coat the chicken legs with the maple and honey garlic sauce, reserving a small amount of sauce.

Return the baking sheet to the oven to finish cooking for another 15-20 minutes.

Once the chicken legs are cooked through, remove the baking sheet from the oven and brush any remaining sauce over the chicken pieces.

Return the chicken to the oven for an additional 2-3 minutes to warm the remaining sauce.

Notes: Only use pure maple syrup, not pancake syrup.

If you dont have any pure maple syrup you can substitute 1 tablespoon of brown sugar.
