Mix garlic powder (or salt), celery salt, table salt and black pepper.

Rub mixture on roast.

Sprinkle with flour, brown on all sides in a little oil--be sure meat is a good dark brown. Add water to cover roast in pan and coffee.

Bring to boil, turn heat down

Add chopped onion.

Cook approximately 4 to 5 hours slowly till meat is fork tender.

Add vegetables and continue to cook till veggies are done.

Remove roast and veggies to platter-slice roast against grain of meat.Make a gravy by mixing flour with a little water, then adding to broth in pan where roast cooked. Any leftover roast and veggies, put into gravy, add a can of tomatoes and mixed vegetables and have a great soup next day.
