1
This recipe has a lot of ingredients but it really isnt that hard to make.
-
2
It just takes a bit of prep.
-
3
Once you get all your ingredients prepped, the assembly and cook time goes quite fast.
-
4
So be prepared!
-
5
One more note: You will notice I added no salt.
-
6
I think the ham and the bacon give it plenty of salt, so taste before you salt!
-
7
1.
-
8
Boil noodles in lightly salted water.
-
9
2.
-
10
Cut bacon into 1-inch chunks and fry it up.
-
11
3.
-
12
You can roast your own chicken, but I just bought mine from the grocery store already roasted!
-
13
Pull 2 cups of meat off your chicken and cut into medium-sized cubes.
-
14
(Use the rest for P-Dubs yummy chicken salad.)
-
15
4.
-
16
Dice up your 1 cup of ham.
-
17
5.
-
18
Prep all of your veggies and spices.
-
19
6.
-
20
Shred your cheeses, get your cream out and measured.
-
21
7.
-
22
Now transfer your cooked bacon (and the grease) to a Dutch oven or good sized pan (6-quart is a good size).
-
23
Dont drain your bacon; you want the greaseit makes the dish yummier!
-
24
8.
-
25
Over medium heat add the chicken and ham, and garlic and mushrooms.
-
26
Let these cook 3-5 minutes until mushrooms start to brown.
-
27
9.
-
28
Now toss in your washed tomatoes and snow peas.
-
29
Let them heat through just a minute, you want them to hold their freshness and not get mushy.
-
30
10.
-
31
Add basil, thyme and pepper.
-
32
11.
-
33
Now, add the cheese.
-
34
Add all of it and if you are exceedingly naughty, add MORE!
-
35
Let the cheeses melt a minute.
-
36
12.
-
37
Pour in the cream and gently fold everything together.
-
38
13.
-
39
Add about 6 cups of the cooked noodles or more depending on how saucy you want it.
-
40
14.
-
41
We eat it just like this.
-
42
But if you really want to get fancy you could put it in little dishes sprinkle with buttered bread crumbs and bake them under the broiler for a minute!
